On Saturday and Sunday night we recommend staying in the Athens Riviera which consists of Vouliagmeni, Voula, and Glyfada. Vouliagmeni is home to the wedding venue, Lake Vouliagmeni. Voula is where Theo's family home is, and is just 5 minutes from the venue. Glyfada is more developed and home to excellent shopping but is still only 10 minutes from the venue. To the extent you arrive earlier in the week, or stay afterwards, we recommend staying a night or two in Athens, or taking some more time to visit one of Greece's many islands. The islands of Santorini, Paros, and Naxos are some of our favorites.

In May in Greece it is warm under the sun during the day and cool at night. Think California in the spring. Mid to high 70s during day and low to mid 60s at night.
